Volleyball and Basketball Update

Volleyball News

The ICL has not been able to secure courts for a volleyball season, as a direct result we are cancelling the 2016 volleyball season and will continue to work towards hosting volleyball in the Fall of 2017.

Basketball News

ICL will be hosting a basketball league at Westwood Church in Olympia. Details for the season are below, but PLEASE NOTE that we will have only one meeting on November 7th at Paramount Christian for registration and league rules presentation.
• Men’s only league 18+
• Dates: Dec. 3 – Apr. 1 (No Games Dec. 24, 31, Jan. 14, Mar. 25)
• Time: Saturdays from 8-11am
• Total of 7 teams (due to limited venues, first come first serve) Email: score@iclsports.org or call Benjamin Hill at 360-451-6282
• 12 League Games
• 2 Week Playoffs single elimination playoff
• Participants must be at least 16yrs before the end of the season
• $300 per church team
• No roster changes after the 2nd league game
• Registration will be the Nov 7th for the 7 teams (please reply to this email prior to Nov 7th if you have a team ready)

Notice to the Coaches

Volleyball Coaches,

Now that we have confirmed we no longer have a facility to play volleyball, and we have made the difficult decision to cancel the season, we need to arrange a way for all of you pick up your team fee refund checks. On Monday, November 23rd the ICL Board will be at Paramount Christian Center from 7 pm – 8 pm issuing checks based upon your submitted registration forms. We will have the original registration forms and receipt books ready to allow us to verify the amount of each check that will need to be written when you arrive on the 23rd.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused all of you. We are already working on a solution for our next volleyball season that will start in November of next year.

NOTE: In place of the volleyball season we are in the beginning stages of a men’s basketball league that may start in January 2016. We have much work to do, but we should have more information that we can present to you on the 23rd.

Season Cancelled

Coaches,

We need to inform all of you that the facility where we have played volleyball in the past has been rented to another business which means we can no longer play our volleyball games there. This was an unexpected development and we have no alternate site to play. As a direct result, we have decided to cancel the ICL’s 2015-2016 volleyball season. We will be in touch with everyone in the coming days announcing a time and place where we will meet to refund your team fees.

Next meeting Oct 5th for registration of teams 7:00 PM at Paramount Christian Church

What to bring: Registration form, waiver form/ teen waiver form for players under 18, Background check form if you have a player under 18, and Team fees (which will be $150.00 this year)
